does anything play as a factor for the rarity of the mini pet?
i mean how do you get a GREEN pet... lol i could understand the gold-purple-blue-white type deal but still why we gotta get random colors... lol
i got 11 months on all my chars, i thought yesterday or today was the mark for a full year... i guess i still gotta wait

I think they are birthday presents, as in your 1 year birthday for a character made when gw was first released.
I had only one character made when Gw was released 12 months ago. This is a little gift for having the game for 1 year. My other characters that were made afterwards didnt get a present. Must have been a glitch if the presents from pre searing made it through. I got a little hydra!! Its awesome.

Man, this is just awsome. Too bad, it'll be another 4 month before I can get my....
although... I could always try to play the minipet market, could make a profit buying and selling them.

But getting for the GW birthday is another way to go.. but there might be people missing out heaps if they don't play within a month!
|
Well, they are transferable. I got a mini-Necrid Horseman. Got it out, let it run around a bit. Wow. Woohoo.
Sold it for 300K about 5 minutes later. I don't need one. I did need gold (for all the upcoming armor upgrades I am gonna be doing).

1. They're permanent
2. They are given to a 'character' upon the 'characters' one year burthday. This is character based, not account based. Check /age, to see if your character is eligible. If you have a birthday in one months time, your character should recieve his fuzzy friend.
2. They are transferrable and tradable, put them in your storage, show them to your friends, put them on the ground. They will follow you faithfully until you put them away.
3. They are sickeningly cute. You can barely stand all the cute fuzzy feelings they give you.
4. You cannot accidentally sell them to merchant, since they have the value of 0, but you can sell them to traders or your friends, or give them away, if you are so cruel and heartless to pass on your pet.
5. They are are exact mini replicas of creatures and people in the first and second chapter, but the lettering describing each in inventory, can be white, purple, gold, or green. Just like weapons and runes, this is supposedly to determine, rarity and value.
6. This almost makes it up to me, the fact that I had to buy the standard edition, while still waiting for my collectors edition to ship.

I don't understand why we can use them in towns. That would be so much fun. I can't think of why they wouldn't allow this. You can turn it off whenever you want do its not like you need to be bothered with people asking questions when you are busy.
The problem is the only time you can pull it out is when you're outside, and I don't know about anyone else, but i'm too busy to be messing with a pet outside of towns. The only time I would ever even want to bother with it is in a town. Seems like they got this backwards to me.

Got a Whiptail Devourer...
If anyone wants to trade for a Siege Turtle, I'd prefer one of those.

i wish we could show our weapons in outposts and/or towns too
i almost wish we could use speed buff skills in towns sometimes... lol some are WAY too big. pets should be able to be shown off in towns.. come on we apparently dont get the same ones.
we can hide our capes, and hide our head gear. I know its like MOREMOREMORE, but i think we should beable to show our weapons/pets or not... least we can tell what people use if they wish to show.

- Yes, it's character, not account.
- You may keep that gift forever; it will not expire. (We would not do that to you!)
- You may trade, give, or sell (for in-game currency only!) your gift(s).
- If you exchange with a player who has a character who is less than one year old, the gift will not go away. (Again, we would not do that to our players -- these gifts are yours to share!)
- If you want to see what happens with your 2nd birthday... stay tuned!
This is a small thing, but this is a huge thing, I think, and will please every player in the game. I can't tell you how proud I am of this tiny element, and how much it means to me. I've not seen my pets, yet. I'm on my way now.
And I can only say: Dev Team, you rock!!!

omg, i can't wait. My main character Grim is 11 month old, i think my mes is about ... 8 or 9 month old. I wonder if i get two different type of presents?

hmm... too bad they cant do it for account age. i've been playing this game 12+ months now with 2 accounts, but because i like to change things up, the oldest of my 6 pve characters is only 6 months, but that doenst at all show for the time i've played. o-well i guess. what a-net does is what we get i guess.
i feel like i'm being punished for re-rolling my characters just to play the game again. gg
